Makes-Me-Wanna SHOUT! winning Browns: Decoyise "Dee" Brown (2011) and Austin Brown (2012)
Austin Brown, an energy analyst in Washington, DC took the cake first prize blue ribbon for his Chocolate Trio Cake at the Makes-Me-Wanna SHOUT! Chocolate Layer Cake Baking Challenge Final Five at Eatonville Restaurant April 24th. The 2011 Coconut Cake Challenge winner Decoyise Brown (no relation) was among the official judges who rated all five cakes. The Chocolate Trio cake has a flourless chocolate cake base, a chocolate mousse 2nd layer, and a thin layer of white chocolate to top it off. Austin received a $500 cash prize, a $250 gift card from King Arthur Flour to shop in their catalog, and a guest appearance on WUS9 with J.C. Hayward.
